Roundtables and Conversations
This roundtable discussion focuses on the multifaceted impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on minorities within academia. The pandemic has intensified existing disparities and created new challenges across different segments of the academic community. This session brings together students, researchers, teachers, and university employees to examine how the pandemic and the measures taken to mitigate its spread have disproportionately affected minority groups in terms of education, employment, and scientific production.

Shattered markets and decreased mobility are threatening many women-led small businesses during COVID-19. Social distancing measures, disrupted supply chains, and decreasing global demand for certain goods have already had a detrimental impact on women entrepreneurs around the world, intensifying existing barriers such as limited access to finance and lack of social safety nets.
